It’s almost Spring and time to think about gorgeous outdoor portraits! As always, I will continue to photograph kids of all ages and families this time of year. I am also discovering a love for photographing older children, specifically that dreaded tough middle school age we don’t look forward to. It’s tough, isn’t it? I’ve survived it once only to be in it again, with one more to go in a few years. Our children are growing so rapidly and sometimes awkwardly. They constantly compare themselves to their peers and feel inadequate. Why is it that this is the time we STOP taking their pictures? Studies show that self-esteem rises when children see themselves displayed in their own home. A poorly lit school photo just isn’t enough. They deserve more.
When you choose a portrait session for your tween, you are giving them a gift. During our process from questionnaire and pre-consultation, portrait session to their reveal and ordering session, your tween will begin to see themselves as you do. Beautiful. I will get to know him or her, learning likes and hobbies, fears and hesitations, so that I may make her experience one she not only looks forward to, but cherishes. And at the end, you will have gorgeous wall art or an album, digital files for sharing, and a confident tween who feels great about himself.
I am currently scheduling tween and High School Senior sessions for Spring. Be sure to pre-book to ensure your spot, as these are limited.
